Let's get some activity going here. I'll also post this topic to the Facebook group later on. Im wanting to run some demos for my local shop and hopefully capitalize on the gencon buzz and attention dark age is finally receiving. What would everybody consider to be a good general selection of faction starters to use to show off as much of the good things and mechanics about this game as possible. I have a brood starter and a small skarrd cult of metamorphosis force. I'm eyeballing the core and dragyri starters as well. Plus a template set. What I really need some I put on are outcast and forsaken since they seem to have many different playstyles available to them.
Another small all question is what are folks using for tokens in this game to mark things like prone, fire, panic etc. I have many years of warmachine under my belt and have grown accustomed to the various token sets available out there. Thanks for any responses.

I am doing the same, Kukulkani is another faction that is varied and shows the diversity of the range of models Dark Age has, as well as all of the play styles, you could add that to your armies to pick up. I have been using my Infinity wounds counters, and other Infinity counters for my games.

I picked up a Forsaken warband box to use along side my Kukuldani warband to run the demos with. The forsaken warband seems like it has a good potential because it has some ranged and melee aspects to it along with a Knockdown effect that could introduce some weapon effects into the game. The forsaken models are also very easy to assemble (i.e. one arm needs to be glued on and the models put on the bases) and the models are pretty simple so painting would be a breeze. The Kukulkani warband is much more difficult to assemble, models more sensitive and the rules are a marginally more complex.
How the Forsaken warband does up against the Kukulkani is yet to be seen. I fear some of the Kukulkani models might get shot up before they get a chance to get into combat, however the Supreme commander will definitely give the Forsaken a headache. I have a game against the C.O.R.E lined up for tonight and hopefully will get a demo game in as well to see how it works.
I plan to use G9 Warmachine tokens to mark the various effects and whatnot.
Hope this helps
